Services for staff

Staff members of Laurentian University, the federated universities, and related institutions such as the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) have the same borrowing privileges as Undergraduate students.

They can borrow books for a period of 21 days and up to 30 books maximum at one time.

They have access to the research databases on and off-campus. Off campus access will require logging in with your usual Laurentian/NOSM username and password.

A valid Laurentian University photo ID card is required for all Library transactions.

Borrowers are responsible for the transactions on their cards. They should also notify the Library in the event of loss or theft of their card.
 

Services for Alumni

Alumni of Laurentian University, the federated universities, and related institutions such as the Northern Ontario School of Medicine have the same borrowing privileges as Undergraduate students.

They can borrow books for a period of 21 days and up to 30 books maximum at one time.

They have access to the research databases on campus only.

A valid Laurentian University photo ID card is required for all Library transactions.

Services for visitors / community members

Members of the community may consult the Library's resources within the Library.

They may obtain a readers card (which will allow them to borrow books) for a fee of $15 for six months or $25 for one year.

The loan period of 21 days and up to 30 books maximum at one time applies to these borrowers.

They may access the research databases on campus only.

If they wish to log in to one of the Library's computers, they will need to request a temporary account from IT services in the Tech Hub.
