Services for staff

Per the Policy on the Access and Loan of Library Materials, staff members of Laurentian University can borrow books for a period of 120 days and up to 500 books maximum at one time.

Staff members have access to the research databases on and off-campus. Off campus access requires logging in with your Laurentian username and password.

A valid Laurentian University photo ID card is required for all Library transactions.

Borrowers are responsible for the transactions on their cards. They should also notify the Library in the event of loss or theft of their card.

Services for Alumni

Per the Policy on the Access and Loan of Library Materials, alumni of Laurentian University can borrow books from Laurentian University libraries for a period of 60 days and up to 50 books maximum at one time.

Alumni only have access to research databases while they are on campus.

A valid Laurentian University photo ID card is required for all library transactions.

Borrowers are responsible for the transactions on their cards. They should also notify the library in the event of loss or theft of their card.

Services for visitors / community members

Members of the community may consult the Library's resources within the Library.

They may obtain a readers card (which will allow them to borrow books) for a fee of $15 for six months or $25 for one year.

The loan period of 60 days and up to 50 books maximum at one time applies to these borrowers.

They may access the research databases on campus only.

If they wish to log in to one of the Library's computers, they will need to request a temporary account from IT services in the Tech Hub.
